Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most common type. They are made of high grade stainless steel. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive. Patients can choose to have colors added to their braces to customize their new look. These are small elastic rings that fit over the bracket and wire and can be changed at certain visits. Of course patients can also elect to stay with the silver ties if they do not wish to have colors.

Ceramic braces are clear and blend in with the natural color of the tooth. They are great for the patient that wants to minimize the appearance of their braces. We now have some tooth colored wires that also help to further blend the braces in with the teeth.

Invisalign

The Invisalign system is a series of clear overlay templates, called aligners, that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult-dentition patients with relatively mild bite problems. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.
