April 2008 Patient Appreciation Day

Drs. Butterfoss and Barton and their staff hosted our 1st Annual Patient Appreciation Day at the Movies! Everyone attended a private showing of Alvin and the Chipmunks at the Cinema Café in Hampton. Refreshments served and DOOR Prizes were given at the event! Here are just a few pictures of the great fun we all had!

Plans for the New 2008 Game Room

We have decided that it is time to retire the arcade games in both of our offices. We will be installing multiple game stations with new games every quarter. We will need YOUR help to decide which game systems and games you would like to see in our office. Due to the space constraints, the systems will be stationary and the games will have to be played from a stool (So the Nintendo Wii will not work in the space available). We will have a new comment box located in the reception area for you to place your suggestions for both the types of systems and the games. Once we have the systems in place we will rotate the games every quarter and have a drawing for the game we are retiring that quarter. We hope everyone will enjoy these new changes to our offices!

Contests & Events

This year, Drs. Butterfoss and Barton will be introducing new and exciting contests and events to make your visits more fun and enjoyable! All contests and upcoming news will be posted on our bulletin boards located in the check-out area and reception area. Be sure to take a look at every visit so you can see what fun things are coming up!

Wooden Nickel

We wish to give an incentive to our patients in the form of a “Wooden Nickel” as a reward for our excellent patients. In order to receive wooden nickels the patient must demonstrate good oral hygiene, no breakages, and positive signs of compliance. These nickels are collected to “purchase” prizes with. Earlier in the year, we posted a contest in which we wanted one of you to choose what we would name the nickel. We are pleased to announce the winners of the naming of our wooden nickels are Semora Ward, Evan Ayres, Janae Hester, Robert Woods and Alyson Heath. Due to the all the great names entered we decided to combine two of the most popular names. Their name will be “Butterfoss and Barton Brace Bucks”, but we will be calling them “B&B Brace Bucks” for short. Thank you to everyone who participated in our contest.

Calendar Contest

WE NEED YOUR HELP in creating a calendar for the year 2009! Submit themed art drawing for any month of your choice to be collected throughout the year. If your drawing is chosen, it will be included in our NEW 2009 calendar that will be distributed at the first of the year. You may submit up to one picture for each month- but only one per person can be used. Paper must be 8.5 by 11 (in horizontal position). You can earn five Butterfoss & Barton Brace Bucks just for submitting your drawing! We encourage you to be creative while incorporating braces in your theme.

Senior Scholarship

ATTENTION SENIORS- Drs. Butterfoss & Barton are offering a $500 Senior Scholarship to our current and prior patients. If you are a graduating senior come pick up a packet at either office or from your School Guidance Counselor. The packets will be available at our office after the first of January. The recipient will be announced in May 2008.

Appointment Card Contest

In an effort to encourage our patients to visit their general dentist every six months, we have developed a new contest. We will be having a monthly drawing for our patients using their appointment cards from their dental visit. We are requesting that their appointment card is signed or stamped by their dentist or hygienist. Only those patients with signed cards will be entered into the contest. We are always looking for new ways to positively encourage good oral health in our patients and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this new project.
