Alice

Alice has 15 years experience in the dental profession. She has been with this practice since November 1999. Her husband, Steve, is a professor and coach at CNU. They have three children. Joshua and his wife, Terresa, live in Virginia Beach. Angelina is a student at VCU, and Derek attends CNU.


Carol

Carol has been an orthodontic assistant with Dr. Butterfoss since 1999. She attended New Horizons Regional Educational Center, where she successfully completed her requirements for dental assisting along with receiving her X-ray certification. Besides working chairside, she also has extended duties in correspondence, records and front desk, when needed.

Prior to working for Dr. Butterfoss, Carol worked as a special education paraprofessional teacher assistant with Hampton City Schools and earned a Career Studies Certificate at TNCC. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, since 1998, and they have three children between them.


Katrina

Katrina has been with our practice since 1990. She began her career in orthodontics in 1988 as clinical assistant. In 1999, she moved into the treatment/financial coordinator position. She has successfully completed EMT training, X-ray certification, new patient coordinator, credit management courses and is a Notary Public. She has been married since 1992 and has three girls, Chablis, Chardonnay and Cabernet (which are Shih Tzus). She enjoys traveling, boating and gardening.


Kelly

Kelly has been with our practice since 1999. She began her career in orthodontics in 1986 when she received her Certified Dental Assistant status. She is married and has two daughters. She enjoys travel, the beach and snow skiing.


Sharon

Sharon has been with the office since November 2000. Sharon and her husband Jim have one son, Mike, who is married and lives in South Carolina. In her spare time, she likes to do one stroke painting, genealogy and Native American research. She also teaches dance and is a licensed cosmetologist. Sharon loves animals, enjoys watching all kinds of wildlife and has a Honduran Tangerine Milk snake named Bandit.


Laura

Laura is a life long Poquoson resident and received her dental assisting and x-ray certificate at Thomas Nelson Community College in 2000. She has been working on orthodontics since 2001 and has a real passion for her work.

Laura and her son Steven enjoy outdoor activities like the beach, fishing, boating and snow skiing.


Amanda

Amanda graduated Tabb High School in 2001 and reveived her dental assisting and X-ray certification at New Horizons Regional Education Center in May of 2003. Amanda has been in the orthodontic field since September 2002. Amanda and her husband, Shawn, have two dogs, Cyrus and Chase. She enjoys the outdoors, going to movies, yardsaling and scrapbooking.


Betty

Betty was born in Pennsylvania and traveled as a military wife for many years, eventually bringing her to the peninsula. She has two wonderful children, a daughter named Corajeanne and a son named Jim. She also has five grandchildren. She enjoys racing (NASCAR and watching her grandson race at Virginia Motor Speedway). My favorite pastime is spending time with family and friends. As a bookkeeper for many years, she has been given and blessed with many opportunities in the business world.


Donna

Donna has been an Orthodontic Assistant since 1999 and is looking forward learning many new techniques and procedures with Dr. Butterfoss and Dr. Barton. She and her husband, Dennis, who works in Planning at Northrop Grumman, are recent York County residents and have three children. Kyle, the oldest, graduated from Menchville High and is now a full time employee with Wal-Mart. Their daughters Kaylee, a senior, and Chelsea, a sophomore both attend York High. They are a family who enjoy camping trips together and with several other families. We look forward to having Donna in our practice.
